Esther:
Can I ask your help in converting from MD (mini disc) to CD? I have
Cakewalk but it does not seem to read the portable player.
Is there a better program out there for converting digital to analog? If
you do not know, does someone know. I have been looking into this for
almost a year now!! You can email directly to me at

We are a very small congregation (only 50 families at present). Our
congregation began in April of 2002. We are very fortunate that several
of the people who joined the Temple sang in a choir at their previous
congregation. We put together a volunteer choir and were able to sing
for the High Holidays. We have two sopranos, two altos, one tenor and
one bass. Our challenge was how to accompany the choir. I was able to
put our music into midi files which were then converted into audio files
which I have put on CD. We try to meet once a week and more often if we
are singing. Right now, we have decided to sing at Bar/Bat mitzvah
services (if the family wants us) and at special services. We are
singing at the Chanukah family service this weekend.
