[HANASHIR:12963] Chanukah Reflection

Greetings. This isn't really musical (yet . . . unless someone wants to
collaborate), but I thought this list might appreciate it.
So far, for Chanukah this year, I have been reflecting on the fact that the
word "Chanukah" actually means "dedication." (It is also related to the word
"chinuch," which means "education.")
Chanukah Reflection

Chanukah
Eight nights,
Set aside to remember
The power of dedication
To shed light and hope
Over darkness and despair.
One candle,
Assigned to serve,
Kindles others.
Growing light.
Strengthened with each night of dedication.
Eight candles,
Lit for light's sake,
To shine and brighten
Warm and enlighten.
Kindled by dedication to service.
Each night
We light our lights
And they burn down,
Compelling us to come back the next night
With more
Dedication
----
Hope you are having a holiday dedicated to the light of inspiration, the
warmth of family and friends.
