Funny you should ask. I chose to do service six a few weeks ago. I did not
choose it based on the words. Frankly, I did not even notice the lack of the
use of God (at least not consciouly). I chose the service based on the music.
The order especially was a little different and I wanted some variety. Ritsei,
for example, follows the silent prayer on page 115 which we don't always do.
the congregants still had opporunity to do their favorite oseh shalom at the
end on p. 218. Also the service started with vaichulu which was a little
change from the usual. I did not hear any comments about using or not using
that service afterwards. I don't know how many even noticed the difference,
except for our spiritual leader, who knew right away. But he mentioned God on
his own several times during the service, so I think it can be adapted to use
once in a while.
