the default on sound recorder is 60 seconds.  adding more time is really 
very easy, but takes concentration.  If you begin to record with the default 
60 seconds, and hit the stop button, and then resume recording, the time you 
have used is added to the 60 seconds...thus if you record for 58 seconds, 
click on stop, then click on record you get another 60 seconds to 
record....you just need to watch the timer as you go so that you do not run 
out of time.

Using this knowledge, there is really an easier way.  When I use the 
recorder, I usually let the time go to 58 seconds several times to get the 
time i need and then move the slide back to the 00.00 mark and begin to 
record.   It is a bit more time consuming, but then i don't have to stop in 
the middle to give myself more time.

BTW this technique of moving the slide, can also be used to edit the file as 
well, so if you make a mistake, you don't have to start at the beginning 
again.

While on the subject, I will be changing nusachmaven2 to channukah music in 
about 1 week.
