[HANASHIR:12639] RE: CD Update and Thanks

A short list of favorites for 5th gr and UP:
Steve Dropkin: World Yet to Come, Light to the Nations
Doug Cotler: Justice, Justice, Listen, Rose in December (great for Yom
HaShoah - or just teaching about what a yahrzeit is) Yisrael (a must! &
easy harmony)
Jeff Klepper: La'asok b'Divrey Torah, Hashievenu, Zochreinu, Or Zarua
(don't think he really wrote this one - but his recording is great)
N. Shemer: Al Kol Ele, Todah
Sheva: Salaam
Wally Shachet-Briskin: Al Tifrosh (a must you guys !!!)
Sam Glaser: Blessing (great and easy harmony), Across the River
Debbie Friedman: Water in the Well (younger ones like it more than the
older ones), Not by Might, Not by Power
Peter Yarrow: Light One Candle
Guess that's it for right now. Let's keep the list alive; I don't mind
collecting "afterthoughts" from people! That's the whole purpose of
this list. Let's share !!!!!!!!! Great idea Shirona!

Subject: [HANASHIR:12636] CD Update and Thanks

Howdy -- a short update to all who have sent encouragement in any form:

The second rehearsal for the CD is this weekend. Studios cost too much
for me to record there, so I found a mostly empty stockroom at a local
bike shop (I'm a mechanic with many connections in the bike biz here)
that has nice acoustics. A fellow in the Jewish community has a portable
recording biz and wants to record us there. If there's money left over
for duplication et al, I will hope for a December release.

It's happening. Really.

Thanks to all for encouragement, good wishes and everything else. It CAN
be done.

Shabbat Shalom --Beth Hamon
