[HANASHIR:12576] Re: Intergenerational Choir

Rachelle,

Since you're teaching Maoz Tzur, which isn't that easy...

-Eight days of Hanukah (to the tune of "Those were the days")
-Oh Hanukah Oh Hanukah - Hebrew, English and Yiddish lyrics available
-Sevivon, sov sov sov (Hebrew)
-Ner Li (English and Hebrew)
-Not By Might (English, by DF)
-Light One Candle (English, by Peter Yarrow)
-My Candles (don't know who wrote this - a lovely, melancholy song in English)
-Banu Choshech Legaresh (Hebrew)

  Subject: [HANASHIR:12575] Intergenerational Choir

I am putting together our first intergenerational choir in preparation for
our big Chanukah/Shabbat service. They will be joining my adult choir in
singing 2 or 3 songs. The rehearsal time I have available is four 30 minute
rehearsals with the kids at the Hebrew school and whatever parents may sign up.
I would like to get beyond Dreidel, Dreidel and am considering Flory Jagoda's
Ocho Kandelikas and Maoz-Tsur. Anyone have great, easy-to-teach suggestions
good for all ages?
  Thanks,
  Rachelle
