Ah!  Arabic slang!  Makes perfect sense.   Thanks so much for your
expertise!  No wonder it seemed strange to me.  I know the kids have
been asking for this song for a while, so now they'll get it!

Unless I'm mistaken it is probably correct. There are
2 uses of modern Hebrew slang here:
1. the second line "Ta'or -" would be actually "Et
ha'or shebashamayim." This abbreviated version is
acceptable in modern Hebrew pop/rock music. It's
spoken slang.
2.The sixth line:"Uv'li shum da'u'win" is slang ( the
word "d'uwin" is Arabic actually I believe) for
something like, "and without any further nonsense",
without further ado, straight to the point, etc. It
makes perfect sense in the general context of the
song.
