[HANASHIR:12210] RE: ISuccot-Hokey Pokey

Well here it is: The "Sukkos Hokey Pokey"

You put your lulav in, you put your lulav out,
You put your lulav in, and you shake it all about,
You come to shul on Succos so you'll learn what it's about,
That's what it's all about!

In autumn every year, when leaves begin to fall,
We dwell in tabernacles. with temporary walls,
You come to shul on Succos, you'll fulfill the mitzvah too,
Succos, it's great for you!

I'll take the palm and myrtle, a willow branch or two
And bind them all together, take an etrog too,
First east, then south, then west and north
Up down and back and forth..
That's what it's all about!
You come to shul on Succos so you'll learn what it's about,
That's what it's all about !

(I do not know who wrote this.) Enjoy....

Subject: [HANASHIR:12168] Intergenerational Choir

Our temple adult choir is in its third year and I thought we could add a
new dimension at our Chanukah service this year by launching an
intergenerational choir. My plan is that for 4 or 5 rehearsals prior
to Chanukah, I would invite families and people of all ages to join us
and learn the Chanukah repertoire. Anyone had any experience with this
kind of thing? Pitfalls I should avoid? Things that absolutely must be
done?
Thanks,
Rachelle
