Hi again from Hong Kong -- I just have to ask everyone a question -- were you 
able to read the message I sent to the list yesterday?  I get the digest format 
of the list, and when I opened it today my message was just a bunch of random 
characters.  I am wondering if it is the same for any of you -- or if it is 
just for those of us who get the digest format, or if it's just me here on the 
other side of the world with a messed up internet connection!  Please email me 
privately to let me know -- so many members of this list have encouraged me to 
send updates and journals about my experiences here, but I'd hate to flood 
people's inboxes with random, encrypted character nonsense...

Come to think of it, if my messages always do this, you won't even be able to 
read THIS one!
