  Approximately 40% of the children's families in our religious school receive 
financial aid. Unfortunately on Yom Kippur evening we have our most captive 
"audience" and there would not be money for those children to attend religious 
school without the appeal. The rabbi simply states the facts - no big guilt  - 
and asks the congregation help educate the future of Judaism. Then I sing...
