[HANASHIR:12046] Recording Budget Questions

I created a 4-CD set of original recordings from Israeli popular music 
history for a conference on Modern Israel. The feedback I received on the 
recordings and the accompanying liner notes has been tremendous, and I'd 
like to produce it for sale!

I am now preparing a budget to show to potential project funders. Y'all seem 
to be aware of what it takes to produce a recording, so I thought I would 
ask you:

-  How does one go about acquiring the rights to use a recording, say, from 
a company like Hed-Arzi?

-  What is the range of costs for the rights?

-  Am I correct that there are no surveys of Israeli music that include 
historical information written in English?
