[HANASHIR:11908] Re: Beth's CD

Dear Cantor: thank you for your helpful and informative words of advice and
encouragement.

"Broke" means: I'm a bike mechanic by day and barely make my rent on what I
earn. I raised the money for the demo (already done) by selling my racing
bike and some extra tools. Didn't grow up in the Jewish community mostly
because of my father's struggle with the classism found in a largely affluent
minority. Rather than take that struggle on as my own, I have found a way to
sort of end-run around it with my music. When I play, we all seem to forget
about a lot of the externals. Stuff melts away, for me and for my fellow
congregants. Decided to get it down on paper and CD mostly to get it done.
Although I have no illusions about making any sort of "Jewish Big Time", I
WOULD like to see how much I could serve the Jewish community with my music.

I will keep your email as a handy reference and thanks again.

Shavua Tov! --Beth Hamon
