It's an adaptation of a Christian camp song, but I use it all the time in my
Orthodox tot Shabbat, using Hebrew words for the body parts. The children
LOVE it and think it's hysterically funny. We do talk about HOW we could have
the Shabbos feeling up in our nose (smell the challah, the smell of the
match/candles burning out, the smell of Shabbos dinner, etc.), up in our eyes
(candles, rabbi, daddy blessing us, etc.), down in our toes (walking to shul,
soapy in the bath before Shabbos begins, etc.), but their favorite verse is
when Shabbos is down in their stomach. I use "Shabbos" because it fits in the
song better and because it's an Orthodox synagogue where they use Ashkenazic
pronounciation a lot anyway. I'll look around and see if I can find an MP3
version of the Christian song on-line, or you can e-mail me privately and
I'll give you my phone number so you can call. It is a very fun song,
particularly when you use the Hebrew!
