[HANASHIR:11782] An awesome resource!

While I was scooting around the web looking for an address for Merri Lovinger
Arian, I
found the following link: http://home.earthlink.net/~cantorwally/thesis.html

This is Paul Henry Schachet-Briskin's thesis for his degree of Master of Sacred
Music,
written in 1996, called: The Music of Reform Youth. It begins with some
reflections on
his personal experience, covers background history, includes lists of songs for
various occasions, guidelines for songleaders, current status, and a look into
the
future. It's also smoothly written & easy to read!

(This is one of the things I love about the internet ... that someone's
six-year old thesis
can be available, to provide continuing inspiration.)

And ... by the way ... I also found Merri, at the Synagogue 2000 website, at
http://www.synagogue2000.org/ ... also very worth a visit, if you've never been
there.

(Note to Adrian: I would recommend both of these as links for the HN website,
if not
already there.)

Best wishes to all,

- Ros
