[HANASHIR:11693] Re: Morning Blessings

I dunno, Laura. No disrespect intended, but that one makes such hash of
the accents of the Hebrew and adds some syllables that aren't there,
that I'm not sure I'd want to use it as a teaching tool.

The best song to set Modeh Ani to is "Oh What a Beautiful Morning". You
have to work a bit to fit the words, but it can be done allowing the
accents to reasonably be in the right place.

Subject: [HANASHIR:11692] Re: Morning Blessings

At the community preschool where my kids go, they use the following
(I've changed the last paragraph to follow GOP's order).

(to the tune of "You Are My Sunshine")

Oh every morning
When i've been sleeping
I open up my
Eyes and say
Thank you HaShem for
My ne-SHA-ah-mah
and for giving me
another day

Oh, Modeh Ani
L'fanecha
Melech Chai
V'kayam
She'he'che'zar'tah
Bi'nish'mah-ah-ti b'chemlah
Raba emunah-techa

You made me Jewish
You made me be free
You open up my
eyes to see
You give me clothing
You give me free-ee-dom
When I need help, you help me

Oh, Modeh ani...
