[HANASHIR:11471] Re: Canadian composers? Glass- Eli Eli

I just have to make one more comment about Stephen Glass - re Eli, Eli - (a
number of years ago I was commissioned by a large non-Jeweish music co to do
a compilation of favourite Israeli songs and compiled a 94 minute- 2 volume
set on cassette of choices I made. Stephen worked with me and played
keyboards for about half of the pieces - one of which was Eli. Eli.
The chords he played, were what was to become his vocal/choral arrangement.

What is so unique about him,is that indeed, all of his choir arrangements
almost sound the way he plays piano - with inovative, exciting chordal
patterns etc. He is never banal!!!

For a more whimsical side of Stephen - his kidstuff is adorable.
He also worked with me on my ' 95 Z'Man Lashir project - playing all the
keyboard parts - as well as chording the songbook. They are indeed different
and delightful!!!

And as for a gorgeous El, Eli, Linda Hirschhorn has a stunning a capella
version on BEHOLD! She also arranges the way Stephen does - so that you hear
vocal chords that are stunning.

I am done!!!
