For lateral translation I use the Metsudah Siddur but do tire a little of
the small print and repetition of the prayers.  There is a new and beautiful
siddur (interlinear Hebrew and English) which has been put together by Rabbi
Ron Aigen of  Congregation Dorshei Emet, the Reconstructionist shul here in
Montreal.  I'm pretty sure I will find it more rewarding than the Metsudah
siddur and I plan to purchase a copy as soon as I can get to the shul
office.
