[HANASHIR:10678] RE: Middle School Music

If anyone out there is looking for some good songs to sing with
6th/7th/8th and higher, I had terrific luck the past few weeks teaching
the following:
Doug Cotler's "Justice, Justice." Beginning paragraph lends itself to a
trio or soloist, Sam Glaser's "Blessing." This is not to be confused
with BLESSINGS. This is the singular. Another wonderful, lyrical
piece and the second half is done in a round so there's instantly
wonderful harmony. The beginning verses can also be done by soloists
(middle schoolers LOVE that)..... and Debbie's new ones, "Water in the
Well" and "Devorah."

If you're thinking ahead to Yom HaShoah, Doug Cotler's "Rose in
December" has also been wonderful with 6th grade and up.

Hope everyone's well !
Happy almost Tu B'Shevat!
