[HANASHIR:10663] Boston Opportunity -- YLD/CJP on 1/25

Chevrei --

Thought I'd pass along this job opportunity to those of you in the Boston
area. I have a previous commitment for Shabbat Shirah with our Chavurah
(www.chav.net), but I agreed to help find someone for this event for the
Young Leadership Division (22-39) of Combined Jewish Philanthropies.

After services, there will be dinner and a speaker -- and then will be about
30 minutes of singing; although the event is at a Reform synagogue, CJP
requires that there be no musical accompaniment on Shabbat (i.e., guitar)
for the program in deference to Conservative and Orthodox attendees.

If you are interested, you can either contact me and I can fill you in, or
you can contact Emily Snyder directly at mailto:EmilyS (at) cjp(dot)org

Thanks . . . if you decide to inquire, let me know how it turns out.

B'shalom,

YLD's 2nd Annual Shabbat Celebration
Friday, January 25th, 2002
Services: 6:00pm; Festive dinner and program: 7:00pm
Temple Ohabei Shalom, 1187 Beacon Street, Brookline
$25.00 per person

Featuring: Niles Goldstein, The National Jewish Chaplain for the Federal Law
Enforcement Officers Association. In this role, he responded to the
September 11th tragedy by providing comfort and prayer to federal law
enforcement agents in New York. Niles has written for Newsweek magazine, has
served as the voice behind "Ask the Rabbi" for Microsoft, and is the
spiritual advisor to J-Date.

What we are looking for is someone who can lead the group (of 250-300 young
adults) in song during the evening. Someone's who can bring spirit and
tradition to Jewish tunes without a guitar or instrumental accompaniment.

Thanks so much,

Emily Snyder (mailto:EmilyS (at) cjp(dot)org)
