[HANASHIR:10590] Re: Tu B'Shevat/Lollipop

Here are the words to the "Lollipop Lollipop" Tu b'Shvat parody by Rabbi Jack
Gabriel. It's on his "Astonishing Is God" recording.

I've taught it to the K-2 students at religious school for the last several
years -- they love it.

Tu B’Shvat, Tu B’Shvat
(Sung to “Lollipop Lollipop”)
        By Rabbi Jack Gabriel

Chorus:
Tu B’Shvat, Tu B’Shvat, oh Tubi, Tubi, Tubi (3x)
Tu B’Shvat

I call my Yontif Tu B’Shvat, tell you why,
It means the winter is passing by.
The earth is fertile and the air is clean,
That’s my Yontif dream. We call it….(Chorus)

Earth has been our Mother through history,
She rocks the cradle with mystery,
We need to heal her ‘cause we hurt her so.
We need to let her grow. We call it…. (Chorus)

If we’re ecologically conscious here,
The trees will have a very good new year.
We need to wake up from our selfish trance.
The earth still has a chance. We call it…. (Chorus)

I call my Yontif Tu B’Shvat, can’t you see
Little blossoms on the almond tree.
We’ll make a seder and we’ll sing and dance
For Nature to advance. We call it…(Chorus)
