Subject: [HANASHIR:10582] High Holy Day Position

  Shalom Chevrah,
I know it seems early, but the older I get, the faster time flies.
I am the Cantor and full-time Spiritual leader of Congregation B'nai Israel
in Vallejo, CA. It's a small (around 130 families), independent synagogue.
This past year I handled all the High Holy Day Services myself, including the
davvening, Torah reading, songleading, choir and sermons. Although I was able
to encourage a LOT of congregational participation, it still felt like a
one-woman-show! This year I have gotten the go-ahead to get some assistance.
YAY!
I'm looking for someone, (some Bimah experience helpful but not necessary),
who could share leadership in some or all of the following areas:
  Junior Congregation
  Children's programming
  Songleading
  Davvening
  Torah reading

Our style is warm, participatory and fairly informal. I play guitar during
Services. We use The "New Mahzor" and do a good mixture of Hebrew and English,
traditional and modern.
Anyone interested can contact me via phone, mail or email:
