[HANASHIR:10563] Re: Hans Wurman

I have a very old Hans Wurman moog album:

The Moog Strikes Bach . . .
to say nothing of Chopin, Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Paganini and Prokofieff

RCA LSC-3125
1969

All works arranged or transcribed and performed on the Moog Synthesizer by
Hans Wurman.

"We are witnessing the birth of a new instrument -- awesome to contemplate.
The Piano, with all the inspiration it provided for composers in the 100
years after its invention, is so limited compared to the Synthesizer that one
cannot even hazard a guess as to what effect the latter will have on the
course of composition and performance in years to come." -- Hans Wurman

There is a great picture on the back of the album cover with a young Hans
Wurman sitting in front of this huge contraption with lots of knobs and patch
cords and speakers and keyboards.

Haven't listened to it in years (don't have a working record player).
