I'm not familiar with the song "l'taken", but hizdamnut means opportunity and 
chovah means obligation. (I'm supposing that someone decided to change the 
lyrics so that repairing the world is our obligation rather than an optional 
activity)  ha-chovah would mean THE obligation... whether it works in the 
hebrew sentence I can't tell you since I don'tknow the song!
