Subject: [HANASHIR:10224] Two new Debbie Friedman albums!
Hi everyone -
I promised several of you I would let you know when Debbie's two new albums
were nearing completion - we are expecting delivery of THE WATER IN THE WELL
(12 never previously recorded songs - yes, we did include Devorah's Song,
Bishiva Shel Mala, Hashkiveinu, The Water In The Well, Mizmor Shir, etc. as
requested!) - there is also a companion songbook (I know so many of you have
been asking about individual pieces of sheet music, so now it will finally be
in one book!) around 11/15. We only made this one in CD based on the survey we
did (thanks for those who helped us make this decision!)
At the same time we should be getting THE ALEF BET, a children's album of 11
songs (including an English version of the Alef Bet Song) which were originally
written for the Behrman House HEBREW & HERITAGE CURRICULUM that some of you
aren't old enough to remember!!!! You will recognize a few songs, but most are
so under utilized and are great Hebrew teaching opportunities (Dikduk,
B'teiavon, B'ruchim Habaim, Bakitah, Mashiv Haruach, etc.) This one has a
companion activity kit (very user friendly for parents and teachers with games,
discussion questions, hebrew, transliteration AND the sheet music.) This one
is in CD and cassette.
So, you can see we have been very busy here and are so excited to be seeing
the light at the end of the tunnel. If you want to pre-order or check out more
descriptions or hear some soundbytes, visit our website!
Shabbat shalom and happy early Chanukah.
