Ellen,

I taught this song from what I remember seeing...

Face forward for north, face right for east, etc.
Jump (rotate in one spot) in the directions as you sing the 'direction' words.
When you finish the song, jump back to 'north,' ready to start over.
It's challenging, and really fun.  The kids love it!
