This is slightly off the subject, but all members of our NYC congregation
who live or work within 3/4 mile of ground zero (even if they weren't in the
area at the time) - and all members who were within 3/4 miles of the
disaster when it happened (i.e., below Canal St.) - bentshed gomel en masse.
Living as I do 10 blocks from ground 0, I woke up the morning after we
bentshed gomel feeling so much better. It was a true healing experience.
