Several years ago, Cantor Andrew Bernard composed an expressive and moving 
setting of "Esa Einai" in order to cope with the death of a colleague.  Our 
music director has a copy of his setting, and shared it with us this year.  We 
sang it for Slichot.

At times of great emotion, I find myself unconsciously singing some appropriate 
song over and over and over, to express & cope with what I am going through.  
This past week, the song has been Cantor Bernard's setting, called "Ellul Duet" 
(because he structured it to be sung along with "Achat Shaalti").  

Cantor Bernard has been gracious enough to give me permission to release his
