Dear All,
In an effort to create a new song for a children's/family Tashlich ceremony
in which we're involved each year, we found ourselves going back to an old
children's favorite melody, The Ants Go Marching (one by one, hurrah,
hurrah....). For any of you involved with children's programming, give it a
try.
L'Shana Tova,
Ellen (and Peter) Allard
Worcester, MA
I cast my sins into the sea, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
I cast my sins into the sea
A better person I will be
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
I throw the crumbs in one by one, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
I throw the crumbs in one by one
A better daughter, a better son
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
The crumbs all land upon a wave, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
The crumbs all land upon a wave
I look to see how I¹ve behaved
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
White or wheat or corn or rye, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
White or wheat or corn or rye
To all my sins, I say goodbye
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
The crumbs begin to float away, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
The crumbs begin to float away
I¹m glad I took the time to pray
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
And now it¹s time to start again, hurrah, hurrah (2x)
And now it¹s time to start again
All of the children, women and men
And we¹ll all go marching down to the sea on this Rosh Hashonah.
