[HANASHIR:9704] Slichot songs

We hold a Kumzits with the theme of "Songs of Reflection, Return and Renewal"
annually prior to the slichot services. Our Rabbi participates and offers
commentaries and meditations throughout the evening. The songs I lead/teach
include:
1. Shalom Aleichem (slow 3 part round)
2. Mi Ha'ish - B. Chait
3. Kol Ha'olam Kulo - B. Chait
4. V'taheir Libeinu - traditional slow
5. Hashiveinu - S. Carlebach
6. Hashiveinu chant - Shefa Gold
7. Hashiveinu - Hanna Tiferet Siegel
8. Traditional Hashiveinu 3 part round (?composer)
9. Return Again - S. Carlebach
10. Shuvi Nafshi - S. Carlebach (consistently seems to be the most moving and
inspirational of the songs of the evening)
11. Achat Sha'alti - I. Katz (In Pasternak's Hassidic Favorites)
12. And They Will Come (To My Holy Mountain) - Aryeh Hirschfield
13. Shomeir Yisrael - traditional; S. Carlebach's melody (with English) is
beautiful
14. Avinu Malkeinu - we also sing it to "Imeinu Rachameinu", (our mother, our
source of compassion/womb) with grammatical correction when we come to asei
imanu..., and we do it a third time to "Mekoreinu mechayeinu" (our source,
our life force).
