[HANASHIR:9323] Re: Passover and Chanukah NOW??

Oh, oh, I'm sure your email is going to generate an avalanche, but let me be
one of the 1st. Is the chorus to Debbie Friedman's "I am a Latke" too obvious
to bring up? It's so beautifully up tempo (bring your guitar to really give it
some swing). Ditto to the chorus to Flory Jagoda's "Una Candelica", which is a
counting song.

Subject: [HANASHIR:9322] Passover and Chanukah NOW??

I will be attending a prof. development day next week for the nursery
teachers at the school where I teach music and have been asked to provide a
list of good Passover and Chanukah songs to build around in the next academic
year. Of course, I have some terrific ones already, (such as Fran Avni's
must-haves and some traditional) but thought I should take the opportunity to
consider some others. I'm looking for suggestions for tried and true, short,
repetitive and EASY to learn material geared specifically for 3 and 4 year old
children. Please reply to me directly if a suggestion comes to mind since I
doubt anyone else is thinking about these holidays as the temperatures rise.
  Thanks,
  Rachelle
