[HANASHIR:9212] Re: Online Ruach

Hi,

Robbie, I can't wait to see you at CAJE.

In the meantime, speaking of Ruach, I was evaluating (sp?) the activities I did
with my second graders this year (I teach at the Community Synagogue in Port
Washington, NY) and I never realized how one simple song such as the DF version
of the Alef Bet can bring in so much Ruach to a group of little kids.

They seemed to always (and I mean always) wanted to sing it. Whether we broke
the class in half and had them repeat eachother or I had them repeat me. They
also seemed to learn the letters better through music then from the textbook
(Derek Bina) which pleased me as a somewhat new teacher.

I never realized music can be such a good teaching tool. Musicians, I beg you
to keep writing songs. Your all so talented.

Anyhow it's off to bed for me, here in NY it's 12 AM.
