We used to have an organ for all services - it was an old American harmonium
, the "pedal frantically to get sound out" kind, and one year - about 15
years ago - we decided it constituted work, and was therefore
inappropriate!! So we canned it, and now the congregation sings
unaccompanied all the time without complaining.
