I believe "Shmelkies's nigun" (popular chassidic freilach dance nigun)is by 
Shmuel Brazil - other compositions by him are found in Velvel's early TARA 
books of Chassidic melodies.  I'm not by those books now to be certain, though. 
Folks at TARA probably could help re: his whereabouts, etc.
