Greetings chevra --

On the NFTY recording of music from the Swig and Newman camps in California 
(I think the CD is called Shireinu MiLibeinu) there is a rendition of Shalom 
Aleichem by a Rabbi Shmuel Brazil.  I have taught it to kids and adults in my 
congregation and they all love it.  We generally sing it in the 3-part 
harmony that's on the recording.  I have since heard it recorded (and 
performed stunningly!)  in lush 6-part harmony by the outstanding a cappella 
group Beat'achon, who are clearly from the Modern Orthodox end of the 
spectrum.  So here is a tune with universal appeal.  

So who is Shmuel Brazil, where is he from, and has he written anything else 
that I can get to know and love?  Many thanks!
