[HANASHIR:8892] Re:Re: Eli Eli - English Verse

I have sung this song for many years beginning when I was a teenager. In
the 1st songbook I remember seeing it in published by ACC/CCAR called (in
English) Songs and Hymns, these were the English words:

O Lord, my God
I pray that these things never end.
The sand and the sea
The rush of the water
The crash of the heaven
The prayer of man
The sand and the sea
The rush of the water
The crash of the heaven
The prayer of man

Prayer of man was changed to "Prayer of the heart" sometime in the late 70's
early 80's. But the Hebrew translates as the Prayer of Man. Also, more
recently, "Oh Lord, my God" has been changed to "Oh God, my God."
