much has to do with the makeup of the congregation and how steeped it is in 
the nusach.  I would make it a long process, by introducing ONE new melody 
at a time.  If the reception to the new melody is good, you can insert it 
every week, if it is luke warm, use it occationally to slide it in.  I would 
not try to change too much at once.
