[HANASHIR:8715] comments and questions

Hi everyone,

I don't often post to this list but after reading the 100+ emails from the last
two days, to the listserv (I haven't checked my email in a day or so) I have
three questions/comments.

Beth- I've grown up listening to Debbi Friedman's music and look forward to
every concert I can get to.

Brian- Did you say the Shireinu Song Book is comming to CD? Can I get my name
put on that list? I'm planning on calling Transcontinental in the morning
(Friday am) for more information.

Linda (I think you brought the Had Gadya issue up)- I know I have loved the
song for years and never even thought about the violent side of the song.
Interesting thought. Infact I never really thought about how violent Pesach is,
thanks for giving me something to think about :). Now I'm bothered by theis
song because I am seeing a new side of it, do you personally think it's
violent? What about the plagues?

My last question is for anyone that has an answer. I've been very into jewish
music since I was very young. Maybe this is because I'm an RK and I have been
going to Eisner and NFTY since I was born (as a staff brat at that age of
course) and now I'm living on Long Island, New York. I currently go to
Northshore Synagogue in Syosset but since I'm in college I want to experiment.
Long story made short, I'm looking to go to a synagogue that has music in their
services and uses guitar. Can anyone reccomend where they might do a "musical
service" on Long Island? I do drive but don't wanna have to travel to far.

Any suggestions you have would be appreciated. Feel free to email me privately
