Rachelle, we gave up trying to do a choral processional at the beginning of
Shabbat services at Temple Solel years ago. It quickly evolved (deteriorated?)
into the Solel Stroll. Our really excellent volunteer choir members enter the
sanctuary from the back and file down the center isle, stopping along the way
to shmooze with their friends in the congregation. It is an excellent
demonstration, and explanation, of why it took our people 40 years in the
desert to make a trip that should have taken a couple weeks, at most. The
whole time they were standing in doorways and pathways, shmoozing.
Good luck, but don't give up.
B'shira,
ShirMidbar aka Harry Higgins
