Rachelle Nelson's beautiful "Light of Torah," which was written for the bat
mitzvah of Cantor Judith Rowland's daughter, can be sung as a solo or with a
choir. It includes English and Hebrew and is available from
Transcontinental. (I sang it at my own son's bar mitzvah.)
I've written an all-English song, "You Are My Child," for the upcoming bar
mitzvah of my other son. "My child, always my child, on this day I share
you with the world, no longer a child -- my child." Keep a supply of
tissues on hand :-) (Please contact me privately for sheet music.)
