[HANASHIR:8344] Re: Star Spangled Banner

Here you go Deborah. Since the song has such a large
range (an octave and a fifth), I'm starting it in the
key of F so that the range is low F to C.

F G C
Oh say can you see by the dawn's early light

        F C F
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last
gleaming.

            F F G
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous

C
fight

         F C7 F
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly
streaming

        F C7
And the rockets red glare the bombs busting in air

     F C F G C7
Gave proof thru the night that our flag was still
there

   F Bb Gm C7
Oh say does that star spangled banner yet wave

         F C7 F
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave

(If you're a guitarist and have trouble with say a Bb
or a G minor chord, you could play it in D and capo
the third fret.

F becomes D
G " E
C " A
Bb " G
Gm " Em
