Ok, my turn to be offended. Being one of the few (if not only) women on this
list who is a musician, a SONGLEADER, and an observer of Kol Isha, I am
absolutely OFFENDED by my practice being called a "pathology". No one on
this list has dissed those of you who do not choose to accept this halacha.

I believe that I have an as much a right to accept this halacha as you have
to reject it. I think the problem lies in the anger aimed at those who
maintain a practice that you don't agree with.

If I may say so, it is rather egotistical to become angry at a group of men
because they won't listen to you sing. Do you get angry at all the folks who
don't show up at services that you lead? Or do you feel just a bit sad
because they "missed a good one"?

The pathology is not in the halacha, it is in the anger.
