[HANASHIR:8298] Re: Caveat

1) I think what Adrian says is very fair, I would like to suggest a more
appropriate list for these discussions on gender & Kol Isha -- the
mail.liberal-judaism list -- check it out at: at
http://www.mljewish.org/. It is a great forum for discussing such topics,
and I'm sure these gender issues re music and prayer would make an
interesting discussion there.

2) I was very relieved when I found out that Kol Isha was not an issue at
Hava Nashira or at the NA Jewish Choral Festival. However, I do hope this
list gets back to its musical focus although I found the discussion very
interesting.

3) The Choral Festival website is:
http://www.zamirfdn.org/festival.htm The choral festival is a delightful
experience, although very different from H.N., if you like the "group"
experience of singing in choirs and want to study Jewish topics in choral
music, sing with fabulous conductors and instant choirs -- I highly
recommend it.
