    Sounds Write sells a recording of Aloni's music, which should provide
some of the information you're looking for along with a number of his
compositions.  He's a favorite of mine as well.
    My understanding is that Aloni was an Israeli-born composer who lived in
Los Angeles starting in the 1940s, and who died in 1999.  But I got this
