[HANASHIR:8156] Re: HANASHIR digest 1137

Dear Eric and other TuB'Shevaters,
First, I hope you don't get a trail of e-mail, I'm still very low tech.
The songs that worked best for the primary grades I teach for
Tu'B'Shevat were "Atzei Zeitim Omdim" (I have them move around as the
funniest looking olive trees ever, and when the accompanist and I stop
the music they are told to freeze. they love this)
Other favorites are Hash'kedia with hand movements illustrating the
various words
and "Trees, Tree" (Either a Hebrew or English Chorus) a song written by
myself andBarbara Savage. If anyone would like to order a lead sheet or
a choral arrangement for an SA (K-4) chorus, you can contact me at
terri (at) rosenhouse(dot)com
For Purim I highly reccommend "Haman was a Wicked, Wicked Man" (many
versions written "Purim Game" by Debbie Freidman ,"Oy, Oy, Uncle
Mordechai"
by Jackie Cytrynbaum and the traditional "ChagPurim"(in Manginote) Also,
the kids like one of my originals entitled "OOh, OOh, OOh, Shalach
Manot" Again you can e-mail me for the words and chords. Terri
