Dear Ruth,
I know that this is old news, but I was going through
old e-mail and found your request about dance lyrics.
Someone from HaNashir probably already told you
that there is a whole book of music and detailed
dance descriptions, published by Tara Publications.
Best of Israeli Folk Dances
ed. by Velvel Pasternak
dance descriptions by Allen King
1990 112 pages spiral bound
There are 51 dances notated with descriptions and
directions, music, lyrics, & transliteration, but I found
no translations. What intrigued me is the fact that
out of 51 dances, only 2 were on your list. Maybe
this book has "classic" dances, and yours "modern"?
If your offer is still good, I would like to see your
"Choveret", especially if it updates the above book.
Shalom,
Cantor Neil Schwartz
