[HANASHIR:8017] Re: Great song for Tu Bishvat

I have been doing the Tu B'Shevat Blues with 4 - 6 graders and they really
seem to love singing along with it. I did it at Hava Nashira right after
Josh's very famous Tree Song. For those guitarists who can't play a shuffle,
simple A, D, and E chords will do. The lyrics are:

Well look at me, I'm a tree
The torah says take good care of me
And if you do, you will find
That I'll be kind

chorus:
I'll give you air to breathe and tasty food to eat
Provide you with shade to espcape the heat
A home to live in and firewood when it's not hot
So celebrate me on Tu B'Shevat

Plant a seed, and water me
It's a mitzvah and a really good deed
It'll clean our air, and show you care
About the world we care

(chorus)

You like your music, and your rock stars
Without the trees they wouldn't have their guitars
So if you like the sound and you want to get down
Plant a tree in the ground
(chorus)

Shalom,
Craig Parks
