[HANASHIR:7773] Re: It's a Small World

One of the "Shalom Sesame" episodes (unfortunately, I forget which, but I
think I can limit it to the first five) actually has a segment on "It's a
Small World," where children sing it in English, Hebrew and Arabic--and
special care is taken to teach the song's chorus in Hebrew.

The song's authors are Richard and Robert Sherman, who also wrote the songs
to "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" and "Mary Poppins," as well as a number of the
songs that play regularly in the Disney theme parks. According to
www.waltstime.com, they wrote "It's a Small World" for the UNICEF Pavilion
at the 1964 World's Fair.

Enjoy 2001!
Judah.
