I have copies of Yih'yeh Tov with a melody line and chords from a songster I
prepared for an evening of Peace Songs in memory of Yitschak Rabin (November
yortzait) for our Bay Area Kumzits, if anyone would like one. A number of
the songs we sang were taken from the incredible double cd "Shalom Chaveir -
Goodbye My Friend" - a 1995 collection of songs of love peace by Israel's
top artists in memory of Yitzchak Rabin. The cd, I'm told, is unfortunately
out of print - manufactured by CDI & NMC Music Ltd. in Israel, distributed by
N.M.C. Marketing Ltd. Selections we sang included Uf Gozal (Arik Einstein),
Niga el Hachalom (Achinoam Nini), Yih'yeh Tov (David Broza) and Shir
Lashalom. The other songs included: Ani V'Ata, Ain't Gonna Study War No
More/Lo Yisa Goy, Od Yavo Shalom Aleinu, Lo Yarei'u, Lu Yehi, Bashana
Haba'ah, Circle Chant (Hirschhorn), Shalom chant (Carlebach), Heiveinu Shalom
Aleichem/Jalabna Aleikum Al Salam (Fenson), Ma Navu, B'leiv Echad (Chefer),
Tzena Tzena/Zeina Zeina (Arabic, Hebrew and English verses as appearing in
Sing Out! magazine), Sha'alu Shalom Yerushalayim (Siegel), Sarah and Hagar
(Hirschhorn), Kol Ha'olam kulo (Hebrew and Arabic), and selections from
Rabin's major addresses.
