[HANASHIR:7671] Re: House Concert

Marsha,

I just performed in a house concert with Doug Mishkin, who is a member of my
congregation. We actually held the concert at his home. His wife and
another congregant provided the desserts, wine, etc. They also sang with us
(both have wonderful voices - I especially liked all the girl group doowop
stuff we did! Doug sat those out.) We offered this concert at our
temple's annual auction last Spring. The house could accomodate about 40-50
people in one room, so the first 40 people to pay $30.00 per seat became the
audience. This is the second year I've done this with Doug. We both do it
for free, but with that kind of profit, you could pay someone and still make
a profit, if that's your aim. Email me privately if you want more
information at gweiner (at) erols(dot)com(dot)
