This message is for anyone who has the ability to host a performing group
in their community this spring. This is an opportunity to host a European
singing group from the Czech Republic. If you want more details, please read
on----

I have been corresponding for a while on the Internet with Dr. Tomas
Novotny, a professor at the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. He
teaches a course there called Hebrew Through Song (Adash). Using traditional
Hebrew songs taught in a certain order he has developed a way to teach the
basics of Hebrew vocabulary and grammar to his students. Interestingly enough,
the class has gradually attracted attention for its musicality and the quality
of their singing. He recently sent me a CD they had made and it is truly
extraordinary. The girls voices are outstanding and the blend that they get is
gorgeous.

The group will be on the East Coast during the month of March and they are
looking to fill in some dates. I will repeat that this is a wonderful
opportunity mainly because there is little money involved. They do ask that
transportation be provided from their previous location, lodging in homes is
fine and food. They have no set "concert fee" but would ask for a donation.
There are approximately 15-20 people in the group.

On March 15 they will be in New Brunswick, NJ, on March 19th, Erie, PA, on
March 22, Virginia. If anyone would like more information, or if you think you
could bring them to your community, please get in touch with me. This is a
wonderful opportunity for cultural sharing and I know you will be impressed
with the talent of this group.
